Meetingivity: Creativity at meetings
Meetings, like PowerPoint presentations, tend to be things most folks want to avoid. Here are some ways to add creativity to your meetings.
1. Try a Postit Meeting. You ask a question in advance. All those who are invited to the meeting must provide their solution on a Postit note. At the beginning of the meeting everyone posts their notes and reads the notes of others. Then, only those who have provided a note may speak a the meeting.
2. Try a Silent Meeting. Tell folks in advance the purpose of the meeting. Have a legal pad. Pass the pad around and have the folks make comments. No one may speak!
3. Try a Prop Meeting. Bring a prop (i.e. a flower, a fountain pen, etc.) to a meeting and put it in the center of the table. Ask participants how it applies to their work.
